This, ladies and gentlemen is what piracy looks like in 2023: A hell on earth I wouldn't wish upon on my worst enemy.
And that's why nobody pirates anymore: why in the world would anyone lose hours and hours of time (and sometimes even money!) in an ungodly labyrinth of physical and mental pain, and even risking serious legal consequences, when I can just throw away some bucks and be done with it?
Face it, regularly buying games is the true Max Stirner way of playing games: that is, the one that is more convenient and involves less risk, less sacrifice, and less moral issues about the absolute state of modern gaming.
I don't know whose fault it is, but it's time they realize they can't expect everybody to be a selfless martyr ready to sacrifice anything in the name of an ideal, however right it might be.

Pc gaming in general. It’s great when I have unlimited time to troubleshoot this minor issue I have never heard of, and one other person is having. And I’ll be lucky enough to see “pm’d you the answer!” Or even better, have to scroll through a bunch of snarky posts about how “this was answered in the sticky”.

Use qBittorent, as it's reliable and safe
Stick to recognizable repackers like Fitgirl and DODI. If you can't find a repack from either of these on 1337, IGGGAMES is also an acceptable choice
If you need a VPN, use Mullvad. It's simple, quick, and only costs 5 bucks a month (you can choose how many months you're paying for when you buy it, from 1 month to 1 year). I don't trust NordVPN or ExpressVPN, or pretty much anything that is sponsored by YouTubers (I get they need money, but that doesn't mean I have to watch this waste of mindspace)
