Aftera short 17 year careeratCleveland Clinic, it is with a mix of sadness, excitement, nostalgia and anticipation that I announce my departure from this incredible institution at the end of April.Throughout my tenure, I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most brilliant minds in healthcare. The camaraderie, mentorship, and unwavering dedication of my colleagues have left an indelible mark on my career. Together, we have weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and relentlessly pursued excellence in patient care across the globe.I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my mentors, who have shaped my growth and encouraged me to reach for the stars. Their wisdom, guidance, and encouragement have been invaluable. To my colleagues, thank you for the countless collaborations, late-night brainstorming sessions, and shared laughter. You have made this journey fulfilling beyond measure. As I step into a new adventure (more on that later), I carry with me the lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the Cleveland Clinic ethos of putting patients first. While I bid farewell to my current role, I remain committed to advancing healthcare and making a positive impact wherever my path leads.Thank you, Cleveland Clinic, fellow caregivers, partners and friends around the world for an incredible 17 years!

Congratulations on your next adventure Prakash! I will cherish the memories of our treks across the globe, helping to advance healthcare in different countries. Thank you for your wisdom and friendship. Here’s a quote from poet James Russell Lowell that reminds me of you: “Good luck is the willing handmaid of an upright and energetic character, and conscientious observance of duty.”Keep up the great work, my friend.

There are a few people in your life who leave an indelible mark - here is an individual who has helped shaped me professionally- Dr. Al Banes, CEO of Flexcell International…one of the early entrepreneurs out of UNC-Chapel Hill. For reasons unknown, he accepted me as a summer intern in his company, guided and mentored me as a member of myPhD thesis committee, drove into my head the power of entrepreneurial thinking, taking a lighthearted approach to life and most of all to watch out for your peeps (learnt that from Mrs. Beth Banes in equal measure)…Had the pleasure of meeting them recently after almost a decade…the learning didn’t stop….Thank you Dr. Banes…Interesting tidbit - A device he invented was a key part of a 2021 Nobel prize winning groundbreaking research on how the body detects touch and other mechanical stimuli!!
