Are there any other ranch snobs out there? I absolutely love ranch dressing but it has to be real ranch dressing, not the kind from a bottle with a billion nasty ingredients in it. And this jalapeno ranch dressing recipe? Even better than the original. Plus, you can choose if you want it to be a jalapeno ranch dressing recipe for salad or a jalapeno ranch dip for veggies and apps.

Not only is this jalapeno ranch recipe easy to make, but it’s paleo and dairy free! I already have my go-to keto ranch dressing recipe made with sour cream, but you won’t believe how creamy this version gets without any dairy at all.

Even if you don’t have any dietary restrictions, you should totally make this jalapeno ranch dressing at home anyway. It’s faster than running to the store and you’ll know exactly what goes in it – no processed ingredients, artificial preservatives, GMO oils, or sugar.

I love the crunch and spice the hot peppers lend to this jalapeno ranch salad dressing, but if you want to go the traditional route, simply leave it out. It’s delicious either way.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering about the spelling of “jalapeño” in this post, my keyboard doesn’t have accents so I’m sticking with the non-accented version. 😉

What Is Jalapeno Ranch Dressing?

Jalapeno ranch dressing is my spicy spin on the traditional ranch. This jalapeno ranch sauce recipe is similar to regular ranch, but with added spice and a bit of Mexican flavor. It’s highly addictive, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!

How To Make Jalapeno Ranch

You’re actually getting three recipes in one with this jalapeno dipping sauce, because you first have to make avocado oil mayonnaise and homemade ranch seasoning mix.

Don’t run away just yet! Both are the quickest things in the world to make and take like 2 minutes each. And, making jalapeno ranch takes less than 10 minutes start to finish.

Here are the easy steps for how to make jalapeno dipping sauce:

  1. Prepare avocado mayonnaise as directed. (Don’t worry – super easy!)
  2. Stir together homemade ranch seasoning. (Simple and way cheaper than buying it!)
  3. Stir in lime juice and minced jalapeno.

PRO TIP: You can serve creamy jalapeno ranch dressing as thick or thin as you like. If you want to thin the dressing, simply add water 1 teaspoon at a time until you get the consistency you want.

How Do You Pick Out Good Jalapenos?

Look for jalapenos that are bright green and have shiny skin and firm to the touch. If you happen to get them on the vine, they’ll be sweeter if you wait for them to turn red in places. Avoid ones with brown spots, puckered skin, or softened texture.

Can You Make This Jalapeno Ranch Recipe Ahead?

Yes, you can make this creamy jalapeno ranch recipe ahead of time. It stores great in the fridge for about a week.

Can You Freeze Jalapeno Ranch Salad Dressing?
