The original 1957-1959 Les Paul Customs came standard equipped with three pickups - since three is more than 2 - only a handful came with the Standard configuration. Time told us that the two pickup versions are way more practical and thats why this 1957 CUSTOM SHOP Les Paul Custom is just perfect: all mahogany body, no maple top, big neck and big fat tone. Black is always beautiful on Les Pauls especially in combination with Gold hardware - well...thats why they call it the Black Beauty.

This is a KILLER player! It started it’s life in 1961 as an early 1961 Gibson SG Custom.
